Legos are Danish-made toys that children use to build a variety of structures and simple machines and vehicles.
They are popular among elementary school students, from pre-K to third grade. While children are learning while playing, they are using hands-on teaching methods where they will be able to learn by experiences, collaborate with their classmates and they will be thinking creatively to come up with unique solutions.
This past summer, the Lego Star Fighter model was on display in Times Square in New York City. This spaceship is made out of lego bricks. 17,000 hours was put forth in this model. Construction took over 2 years. This architectural spaceship contains over 5,000.000 million bricks and weighs 46,000 pound and is big enough to climb on the spaceships cockpit.
Inspired for kids and Star Wars fanatics, this architectural beauty serves as a great teachable moment and gives kids that on-hands tactile experience.
The Lego Star Wars model will be shipped to Lego Land in California where it will be on display, till the end of the year.
