Learning More About Dogs

We are lucky to have many different dog sport clubs in Central Ohio.  These clubs occasionally will bring in speakers to present on a specific activity or on dog behavior in general.  Keep an eye on the club websites or send an email to ask about any workshops, speakers or educational events that may interest you.

Some veterinarian offices will host education days or offer to speak at the library or youth groups.  If you have a good relationship with your vet, you may be able to set up a short talk with any groups you work with.   This can be a great way to hear about pet health issues from a qualified professional.

Spring, summer, and fall are filled with various pet-fair type events and big rescue fundraisers.  There are sometimes speakers on dog body language, behavior, or training.

These types of events can be a great way to learn more about your pets and how to better interact with them.    For one upcoming event at a training center, Ken McCort from Doylestown, OH is coming to talk about dog behavior and biology.
