Learn to listen to your intuition on your journey to an extraordinary life

Have you ever looked at people you admire and wondered how did they get so successful, so calm, so ready to take on the world? Ever wonder how they made an extraordinary life from the deck of cards they were dealt? Believe it or not, it really is easier than you think to help get you on that road of success as well. There are many ways to help you get started on creating your own extraordinary life, below is one simple example. Some of the suggestions below go against the instinct we have developed in today's fast paced world, they require you to slow down and be more introspective which can be uncomfortable in the beginning but the pay off will be remarkable if you stick with it.

Listen to your intuition. It is a simple statement but much easier to say than actually do. Intuition is a powerful tool that has lost its importance in today's fast paced world. We are often too focused on the moment and the possible outcomes of the future. Our mind is calculating every possible scenario and does not have time to listen to the inner voice that is more insightful than external stimuli.

Here is one way to see if you are focused on the moment and your surroundings or if you are focused on the possible outcomes in the future. The next time you are in a conversation with a significant other or best friend focus on every single word they are speaking. Also notice your thought process, are you thinking about how to answer their next question or are you taking a moment to think about what they are truly saying?

If you are not paying attention to someone speaking to you, it is highly unlikely you are paying attention to your inner voice and intuition. Likewise, some people have so many thoughts flying around in their minds that they can't differentiate between intuition and thoughts. The key is to be able to hear and make a determination on how to react to the intuition that you already have.

Step one is to simply slow things down in your life where you can. This can be as simple as finding 20 minutes a day to meditate, journal, take a walk, even exercise (yoga and tai chi) can help you slow your thoughts down. Once you start slowing things down you will be able to note the sound of different thoughts in your mind. Determine which thoughts are helpful and beneficial and turn away those thoughts that seem to harmful to you or others.

As you slow down and pay attention to your own thoughts and the world around you; you will begin to notice more intuitive messages and signs that come in your vision.

You can also try a guided meditation which is focused on increasing psychic thoughts and abilities. You can find these in some stores or you can also contact me for a more personalized meditation cd - check out my website here.

Intuition is something we all have, learning to hear it and act when appropriate can help give you an advantage that many people have turned away from. Your greatest tool in gaining an extraordinary life is yourself. Learning to develop yourself is one of the greatest investments you can make into your future.
