The new management has put a premium on providing lessons in a stress-free zone for beginner men and women, high-handicappers and kids ages seven to 16.
“Whether you have never swung a club in your life, or are looking to explore your golfing potential, we offer a wide range of camps for kids and lessons that have created for any age, ability level and budget,” said Pine View’s Glen Costello.
“When we show students the basics of the game, it’s like constructing a house. We start by creating a solid foundation and build from there.”
The semi-private lessons feature small groups of two to four so there’s plenty of quality time for the PGA of Canada Class “A” instructors to share with students.
The cost checks in at $150 per player for five half-hour group sessions during which everyone practises the short game, full swings, and putting.
The junior camp programs not only come with expert instruction, they’ll also include other activities for the kids and teens to enjoy.
Here is the junior camps schedule:
- June 30 to July 4*
- July 7-11
- July 14-18
- July 21-25
- July 28 to Aug. 1

* These camps are held over four days because of the holidays on Canada Day and Aug. 4.
The cost of the five-day camps is $350. The fee for the four-day camps is $280. Lunch is included and both prices include HST.
Pine View Golf Course is a 36-hole facility located at 1471 Blair Rd.
Here is a quick peek at both courses:
The Main Course is a 6,679-yard, par 71 parkland layout. The mature style course provides ample landing areas for tee shots as well as large putting surfaces that are well guarded by bunkers and have plenty of undulations.
The Short Course plays to a par of 64 and measures 4,025 yards in length. It is a unique track because players get to swing every club in their bags.
