Feeling like it's too cold or wet in the Bay Area to go out? Think again, baking friends! Draeger's Cooking School and Maria Capdevielle have a special treat to get you out and to get you baking this winter. On January 26th, Capdevielle is leading a class on Italian Winter Desserts.
This is a hands-on class at Draeger's San Mateo location, with four mouth-watering desserts on the menu:
- Vin Santo Chocolate Cake with Pears
- Bittersweet Chocolate and Hazelnut Semifreddo
- Meyer Lemon Panna Cotta with Candied Kumquat
- Bomboloni, which are Italian mini donuts with chocolate, mascarpone and apple sauces
This is the year to learn to bake, not just admire the creations of others, and Chef Capdevielle is just the one to teach you.
Maria Capdevielle is a classically trained pastry chef from Abruzzo, Italy, and the author of My Sweet Abruzzo. Her local restaurant experience includes San Francisco’s Rose Pistola, The Townhouse Grill & Restaurant in Emeryville and a stint at the famed Chez Panisse in Berkeley.
As of this writing, there are only 3 openings left in the class. Call today to reserve your spot. What will you do for yourself in the new year, if not learn to bake?
