If you thought you missed the opportunity to study under James Beard Foundation nominated chef Bun Lai, there are still a few tickets left for the program on the next two Thursday nights. Join Bun, his sister Mie-Sara Lai, and New Haven artist Will Reynolds at the Miya's restaurant farm in Woodbridge. In addition to learning how to make tasty and healthful sustainable "sushi from thousands of years ago and sustainable sushi for the future", you will discuss with Bun the method through which his recipes are created utilizing a framework that explores the relationship between healthy eating and ecological conservation. The discussion includes the history of food and the future of food through sushi. The cooking class will be followed by a sushi dinner and tasting of homemade sakes created from foraged ingredients.
