Learn pet first aid skills at Foothills Animal Shelter

Foothills Animal Shelter is once again holding a pet first aid class at their Golden shelter on 6th Avenue. This class will help pet owners have the confidence and training necessary to handle emergencies.

Pet First Aid will be taught by Dawn Olson, a certified Veterinary Technician and PetTECH Instructor. This Alaska native is well qualified to teach pet owners to be prepared and how to handle emergencies involving their pets.

On Saturday, March 9, Foothills will hold this special class from 1 to 5:30 p.m. The class will cover canine and feline CPR, injuries, seizures, choking, emergency preparedness and so much more. Cost of the class is $89 per person and includes pet first aid handbook and a certificate of completion. Registration can be done on their website or call 720-407-5230.
