Learn Irish in San Francisco: Gaelic language immersion weekend 2010

The San Francisco Irish Language Immersion Weekend will take place on 1, 2 and 3 October at the United Irish Cultural Center.

The course is geared to accommodate adults – from beginners to advanced. Four levels intensive tutorials are focusing on spoken language and increasing fluency aimed at correct pronunciation, proper idiom and development of vacabulary. The teachers are all native Gaelic speakers.

Between classes, over meals, and during the seisiún each evening, you are encouraged to keep practicing your Irish with people from all levels, while enjoying the craic — it is of great benefit to hear Irish spoken ‘live’ around you. There will be the opportunity for an extra seisiún Sunday evening after the course ends.
Course fee is $345 which includes tuition and food - sandwiches, soup and fruit for supper Friday evening; cheese and Irish bread and coffee/tea available each morning; coffee/tea breaks; full meals for lunch and dinner Saturday and lunch Sunday. Out-of-town attendees need to make their own accommodation arrangements.
