Most of us are familiar with the standard hanging kitchen towel or a crochet towel topper pattern that is crocheted on top of a dish towel. Instead of purchasing a store dish towel make an entire towel and topt to hang on the stove out of 100% crochet cotton.
These handy helpers are wonderful items to create for the kitchen. Plus they can be easily crocheted in one sitting with just a few minor instructions.
The best materials to use for this project are 100% crochet cotton in the color of your choice, and a size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook. The pattern is simple you are basically crocheting a rectangle and adding a towel topper with a button on the top of the square or rectangle.
A Rosy dishcloth set that includes a towel and dishcloth can easily be downloaded and crocheted for a kitchen. This pattern was originally published in the Crochet with Heart magazine in December 1999 and can be downloaded as an ePattern here. The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn to make the dishcloth set.
Make a matching dishcloth and potholder to go along with the dish towel that is hanging from the stove for an additional gift of décor to your kitchen.
