Home Staging is the opposite of decorating. Decorating a home is personalizing it to suit your taste, or suit the taste of the homeowner. Home Staging is de-personalizing a property in a skilled manner in preparation for selling.
A trained, professional Home Stager should know exactly how to address the needs of a specific property by either adding or subtracting furnishings, etc. to present that property as a desirable product to potential buyers. Home Staging is a marketing tool to help properties sell faster and for more money.
