Learn from pro racecar drivers: Family wagons to race cars Ford hosts free event

Ford EcoBoost Challenge heads to Houston
Fort Motor Company - permission granted

Drive by the EcoBoost Challenge at Reliant Stadium on June 7th and you just might hear screams and squeals as professional drivers will teach Houstonians advanced driving techniques at this free event from Ford Motor Company. There will be three courses and ten vehicles you can drive. As a bonus, the all-new 2015 F-150, 2015 Mustang, 2015 Expedition and 2015 Transit Connect Wagon will be on display. (Did you know Texas is the top market in the world for F-150 and Mustang?)

The free event includes three different private training courses.

1. A high performance course with pro racecar drivers, featuring the new Fiesta ST. This is where all of the screaming faces and screeching tires come from. Learn how to take corners at high speeds and compare your track times against friends – this one gets very competitive.

2. The hybrid challenge course pits Ford’s C-MAX Hybrid against Toyota’s Prius. You can drive both vehicles to see which one you like better. You’ll also learn driving tips to get better gas mileage out of any car.

3. You may have seen the EcoBoost Challenge course on TV or the internet. This is where you get to drive and compare the Ford F-150 versus Chevy Silverado, Ford Fusion versus Toyota Camry and Ford Escape versus Honda CRV. It’s a head-to-head competition and you get to judge which you like best.
