Learn about backyard beekeeping: workshop this weekend

This Sunday, a beginning beekeeping workshop will be offered by Lee Edwards at the Chico Grange. Flowers are blooming and bees are buzzing; now is the perfect time to learn about starting your own backyard hive.

A beehive is a great addition to any garden. Keeping bees promotes pollination and creates a more dynamic ecosystem. I hear it's a lot of fun and quite fascinating to learn about the relationships within the beehive. And what's not to love about honey?!

The workshop will be held on Sunday, March 14 from 1:30-3:30 at the Chico Grange Hall for a fee of $10.00 payable at the door. Please click here to register.
