There is a point in many girls' lives where all they want is to be a ballerina. They love the tutu. They adore the shoes and all that matters is spinning and twirling. They have no idea that all of this combined is good for their mind, body and spirit. All they know is they want to dance. That's where Dimensions Dance Studio can make their dream come true.

At the age of three years old your daughter can dance her heart out in the Intro to Dance class with other three and four year old aspiring ballerina's. By the age of five years old she can begin taking Ballet and Jazz. As she gets older there is a laundry list of classes available for your daughter if she's interested. All that is required is regular attendance and a willing to learn.

Studies show that dancing helps build self-esteem in tweens and teens during their 'awkward' years. They learn respect for the space around them, how to move comfortably in that space and how to show off their own personality in that space. Dimensions Dance Studio is dedicated to implementing these very ideals. At the end of every school year the studio puts on a recital that is open to all students. According to studio owner, Sandra Morgan, dance helps promote a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence as well as responsibility and respect. The students at Dimensions learn to love music and movement while building flexibility, strength and coordination. Morgan also makes it known that the center as well as the dancers give back to the community through volunteer work, performances for public schools and children's organizations as well as the free-ticket outreach program.

Many girls start taking classes at Dimensions at the ripe old age of three and continue all throughout grade school, junior high and into high school. By becoming a dancer at a very young age girls and boys are able to build friendships with other children who share their same interests and dreams. They are able to build a foundation for themselves through hard work and determination. Dancing can turn a timid, shy girl into a strong, independent woman. Dancing can also help a talented girl or boy afford to attend a more prestigious college. Dance scholarships are available to those who know where to look.

The limits are endless for those who are willing to do the work and reap the rewards. Auditioning in front of your peers can be nerve-racking. Performing in front of an audience can be heart wrenching. For the girls who are willing to step up and be seen the benefits far outweigh the negative feelings that only last a few seconds. At Dimensions, the Nutcracker performance is a great way for dancers to get exposure to auditions, rehearsals and very serious performing. The Nutcracker is a performance Dimensions puts on every year in December. The performers spend months rehearsing to be able to accomplish a professional level production. Performance dates for this year's show are December 4th at 7:00 pm, December 5th at 7:00 pm and December 6th at 3:00 pm. Tickets are available for purchase through PayPal at the Dimensions Dance Studio website.

If your daughter has dreams of becoming a ballerina when she grows up or would just like pretending to be one for a few years - Dimensions Dance Studio has everything you need to help her start the process of seeing those dreams become a reality.
