LeAnn Rimes hasn't been making headlines much lately, so perhaps she saw trying to provoke Brandi Glanville as the perfect way to get a little press. According to a Sept. 22 report by Fishwrapped, Rimes recently went on a Twitter rant all about "truth" after seeing a tweet about Brandi.
The drama began when Twitter user Sarah Hertel tweeted, "'I thought you needed rehab. Now I realize its just you.' Lol #rhwbh preview." The quote was about Brandi, and it was from a "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" preview. Even though the tweet wasn't aimed at LeAnn, she just couldn't resist responding to it by writing, "sorry, can't deny the truth." Perhaps LeAnn shouldn't be commenting on tweets about rehab—she did go to rehab, but her recent behavior is making it seem like the short stay didn't do her much good.
Of course LeAnn Rimes' tweet set Brandi Glanville fans off, and Rimes responded to them by trying to make them see the "truth." "I'm a woman w/ the right to stand up for my family and truth," she wrote. Another tweet read, "I'm sorry you misunderstand my right to truth." And here's one more: "You say the truth you're horrible, you deny the truth, you're liar.....lose, lose...no one cares about the truth."
So was LeAnn really upset about "the truth," or was something else getting under her skin? Here's one possibility: perhaps she was just jealous after learning that Brandi got invited to the Emmys. "I just got invited to the Emmy's and the Govenors ball and I don't have a dress! Help!" Brandi wrote on Friday. LeAnn went on her Twitter rant the next day, and Brandi seemingly responded to it by writing, "I refuse to engage in this obvious attempt to get under my skin, even tho I really want to! Still no dress! Utoh! Happy am." Notice how the "RHOBH" star subtly brought up the Emmys invite again by pointing out that she still didn't have a dress? Perhaps this was actually meant to get under LeAnn's skin.
But why would LeAnn be jealous that Brandi got an invite to the Emmys? Well, the singer and husband Eddie Cibrian have a new TV show in the works, and the Emmys would have been the perfect place to do a little promoting. LeAnn might also feel like she's a bigger star than Brandi and more deserving of an invite to the event.
So what do you think of LeAnn's latest rant?
