While promoting her new VH1 reality show, "LeAnn & Eddie," Rimes poked fun at her husband's ex-wife, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Brandi Glanville, claiming she was the "real" housewife.
“I am actually a real housewife,” Rimes said during a chat about the Do's and Dont's of Reality TV, via a July 21 report by Reality Tea. “I am a housewife. When I’m home, I cook. I do housewife-y things. I love to go on RealSimple.com and pick up a recipe and hang out in the grocery store for hours. I go home and have a glass of wine and cook.”
Although Rimes may consider herself a housewife, it is Glanville who stars on the Bravo reality series, and has made a serious living while doing so. In addition to being upgraded to an "official housewife" on season three of the show, Glanville has had the opportunity to write two best-selling books, "Drinking & Tweeting" and "Drinking & Dating."
And while Rimes typically is the one to claim that she doesn't start their feuds, this recent comment certainly appears to be doing just that.
“It’s not invasive. It’s not exploitative. It’s not train-wreck TV,” Cibrian said. “If it’s within the story line we’re talking about, you get to see how we would deal with it. That’s really it. There’s no malicious attacks.”
Rimes added, “Nothing that we say about ourselves, or others, is untrue. We wanted people to laugh with us. They’ve been laughing at us for a long time.”
