LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian say they're not taking shots at Brandi Glanville

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian admit that viewers will see them talking about his ex-wife, Brandi Glanville of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," a lot on their new reality TV show when it airs but insist that they didn't do it just to badmouth her. In an interview with TV Guide, LeAnn and Eddie said that they spoke out her only as a response to her actions.

LeAnn said that she and Eddie spoke about Brandi while filming "LeAnn & Eddie" only when it was necessary. LeAnn explained that they brought up Brandi whenever they were discussing any situations and tabloid fodder that might have come from her. She added that it's not really possible to do a reality TV show like theirs without addressing issues like that.

Clearly, LeAnn believes that Brandi is much to blame for all the negative press that she and Eddie get and view their new show as a way to minimize the effects of Brandi's words. Eddie added that he and LeAnn didn't mention Brandi just to take shots at her.

Brandi is already well aware that she'll be mentioned frequently on LeAnn's and Eddie's show. In late May, she sarcastically tweeted that it looks like she'll be on three shows this fall, in reference to her ex-husband's new show, "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" and "Celebrity Apprentice." As a veteran of reality TV, Brandi is likely aware that any kind of publicity is good publicity.

In her tweet, Brandi Glanville had also provided the link to a preview clip that showed LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian discussing how Brandi was behind a tabloid report of their divorce and LeAnn getting mad at Eddie for refusing to publicly deny the story. However, for some reason, the preview clip was quickly pulled. It remains to be seen whether the scene will actually air. "LeAnn & Eddie" premieres on VH1 on Thursday, July 17 at 8/7c.
