For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God's consecrated ones), (Colossians 1:4 AMP)
To have a faith that was our reputation, would be a humbling title. We'd have to watch our every step. But there'd be help because faith is leaning on Jesus. Not leaning easy but leaning our entirety on him. He has the power, wisdom and goodness we need.
On the evening before calvary the disciples and Jesus were eating and they reclined at the table, a custom of the day. John, the disciple was leaning on Jesus. He loved Him, he was loved by Him. John might have heard and understood a little more than the others did about it being time for Jesus to leave, because he was staying close to the Savior. John stayed with Jesus' mother throughout the trial and crucifixion. John was the only one who didn't scatter like the rest. He was leaning on his Savior.
The Colossians leaned on Jesus for their faith and true faith encloses love within. When faith is poured out love comes flowing with it. They have love for people who don't know Jesus but especially love for the others who are leaning on Him.
The video is about grandparents taking care of their grandchildren. The grandparents can be a support like no other if they lean in for us and we lean into them.
