Nestle has issued a voluntary Lean Cuisine recall on Tuesday. The recall is a result of three people finding broken glass fragments in their ravioli, but no injuries were reported according to the press release issued.
According to CBSlocal.com, the package product codes affected are 2311587812 and 2312587812, which contain a "best before date" of December 2013.
Products with these two codes on the packaging were shipped nationwide after being produced last November, with UPI.com reporting as many as 500,000 packages were produced during that time for shipment.
Consumers already affected had purchased the Lean Cuisine Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli. And Nestle asks that anyone with this product coded listed on the recall please contact them at (866) 586-9424 or leancuisine@casupport.com
The concern for the company in this particular recall is that they do not have any glass in their factory manufacturing process. And they have a strict "no glass" policy for employees.
