Manufactures of Apple accessories receive the dimensions of new products months in advance, in order to prepare for high demand. Despite the risk of not having the device, or a mockup of the device to work off of, companies such as MiniSuit can reap the financial rewards for being the first company offering accessories for the latest gadgets. Usually, it pays off.
A quick glance at the photo reveals the slimmer form factor of the "iPad 5". This supports rumors of a form factor similar to that of the iPad Mini. There also appears to be an extra hole near the bottom of the iPad 5 case, likely for a microphone. As with most redesigns, the iPad 5 is expected to be significantly slimmer than that of the iPad 4, so a reconfiguration of the interior chipsets is likely. A redesign of the display is also a possibility given the current dimensions of the iPad 4 and measurements of the MiniSuit iPad 5 case.
These images coincide with a recently leaked image of the rumored rear shell of the iPad 5, sporting a hole for a microphone, much like the MiniSuit case.
The release date of the iPad 5 has not officially been set by Apple, but the majority of tech websites are leaning towards a fall release.
