Videos posted to Youtube claim to show Grand Theft Auto Online's forthcoming Content Creator. It's the most recent leak to hit the game, following shortly after a leaked audio file hinted at future DLC content.
In a series of four videos, Youtube user LiveUnknownHacks shows GTA Online's Content Creator. From what is available, the Content Creator looks pleasantly robust. Menus shown in the videos indicate the player can create their own deathmatches, tweaking the placement of spawn points, weapons, vehicles, and other props in the urban section of Los Santos LiveUnknownHacks uses for the deathmatch. The videos also indicate that the Content Creator can be used to create races. The menus for races appears more standard, providing the player with all the options they currently have when hosting races in GTA Online. What does look interesting is the apparent lack of limitation on the placement of checkpoints. GTA Online's varied terrain combined with the robustness of the Content Creator has the potential for some Hot Wheels-style tracks.
While the Content Creator did look impressive, it is disappointing that it appears from the videos that players will only be able to create deathmatches and races. While the Content Creator's list of options did look impressive, the inability to create your own missions stands out. There is hope though, as it is not clear from the videos if this is a work in progress or a final version.
The videos claiming to show the Content Creator are just the latest leak of GTA Online content. The same Youtube user who released these most recent videos also claims to have released audio files originating from future GTA Online DLC. The files, which like the Content Creator are allegedly located on the Grand Theft Auto 5 disk, hint at numerous additions to Los Santos. Casinos, racing for pink slips, phone upgrades, and new missions for the gangster Madrazo are just some of the content that is teased. These leaks and a recent post on Rockstar Game's Twitter all point to a big release of content in the near future.
