Leah Shirley will be allowed to visit imprisoned 'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood (Video)

October 15, Gary Shirley of the popular reality show 'Teen Mom' reported that he has realized that denying Leah the truth about where her mother is is doing more harm than help. Just last week, it was reported that both Gary and Amber were telling Leah that her that Amber was in Hollywood filming for a movie.

Gary seemingly realized that he needed to tell Leah the truth and allow her to see her mom when she started looking for her mom on Netflix and watching past 'Teen Mom' episodes. Amber has been in prison now for five months and still has approximately four years and seven months to go-- a very long time to not see your child or mother.

Radar Online reported Gary saying;

Gary has decided that not telling Leah where her mother is is more harmful than helpful.

“Just to clear up confusion-- I had to find out for my daughter, Amber, and myself if it was best for Leah to go where her mommy is and visit, and I learned that it is the best thing for Leah and Amber.”

Gary continues on with Radar Online stating that his previous decision of not allowing Leah to go to the prison for a visit was not a control thing. He is currently working on getting the paperwork filed so that he can take Leah to visit her mother.
