There has always been an interest in Leah Remini and the Church of Scientology as the 43-year-old actress grew up in the church, and was an active member for 30 years. When she left there were many concerns and the star found herself in the middle of scandal. A little over a year later and the celebrity and her family are enjoying life once again.

Leah Remini is doing well professionally too. The star is looking at premiering a new reality show filming her life and her family. Filming started on the show's 12 half-hour episodes in early March and covers all sorts of zany happenings in her life. While she didn't expect to be seen in a reality type setting, it appears the idea came from her agent who offered a candid opinion on her family life and the crazy stuff that happens.

One strange outcome of the family leaving the Church of Scientology? Apparently Remini’s mother got a tattoo and it might not be a direct result, but it will be seen on the upcoming reality show. Remini and her family are set to star in a reality show this summer on TLC. Fans will have to wait until the show premieres to actually see the artwork, but it sounds intriguing.

Take a look at the video clip of Leah Remini talking about life after leaving the Church of Scientology. It sounds like the move was a good thing for her and it offered another reason for her to make the family the first priority.
