The new season of ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ is as exciting as ever. The first round of results took place last week, which meant someone had to exit the ballroom.
The first elimination of the season was former NFL player Keyshawn Johnson and his professional partner Sharna Burgess. The couple earned the lowest judges scores in combination with viewer votes.
Now for the good news - actress and former daytime talk show host Leah Remini is safe to hit the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ dance floor tomorrow night.
Leah and her professional dancer (and former ‘DWTS’ champion) Tony Dovolani were announced ‘safe’ early on during the elimination portion of Monday night’s show. The couple scored an impressive 24 out of 30 points for their Samba the week before.
Leah was clearly anxious and nervous prior to the show. She even confided in Tony some of her fears regarding her former relationship with the Church of Scientology. For those who don’t know, Leah left the Church several months ago and for the most part has remained mum on the topic.
‘The church is looking for me to fail, so they say to their parishioners, ‘See what happens when you leave the church?’’ Leah told Tony.
Tony was so professional and supportive and said his ‘job’ is to make sure Leah succeeds during her time on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
Will Leah make it all the way to the finals? All we can do is watch and most important – vote to keep her safe.
‘Dancing with the Stars’ airs Monday nights at 8pm on Detroit’s local ABC affiliate WXYZ Channel 7.
