Leah Calvert and Corey Simms have a pretty civil relationship, considering their history.

After marrying shortly after their twins were born, Corey discovered Leah had cheated on him just days before they married and the two got a divorce. A couple of months later, Leah met and moved in with Jeremy Calvert, who she later married, and Corey went on to marry Miranda Patterson.

Although their past was pretty ugly, they are both in a much better place and have actually developed a friendship of sorts.

Unfortunately, Corey has been pulling away from their relationship since Ali's medical issues became more severe. Following her June 2013 diagnosis of a rare form of muscular dystrophy, Ali has had tons of hospital visits, but Corey hasn't been active with them and seems to be distancing himself from the situation.

During a recent scene of Teen Mom 2, Leah opened up about the issue.

“I keep trying to get a hold of Corey, but I can’t get a response from him,” Leah said in the March 6 bonus scene. “I need him to understand what’s going on and come to an agreement with me. I can’t just can’t do something without him.”

Since Corey is Ali's dad, Leah would love for him to be completely active as her second parent, but he hasn't been, which is likely the result of his not wanting to accept Ali's illness. However, at this point, Corey needs to step up and be there for Ali in every way possible and stop turning a blind eye to the situation at hand.
