The quest continues to enlighten gamers in Fort Worth, Texas about the Season 3 item changes to League of Legends. Picking up from the last article, this article will be focusing on Hunter's Machete and the four items that can be built from it.
- +14 Health Regen per 5 seconds
- +7 Mana Regen per 5 seconds
- Unique Passive – Butcher: Damage dealt to monsters increased by 20%
- Unique Passive – Rend: Basic attacks deal 10 bonus true damage to monsters.
Spirit Stone is an almost necessary item for junglers that are not going for a build with Wriggle's Lantern. Due to Wriggle's Lantern being ideal for attack damage champions, Spirit Stone is typically the answer for ability power champions who are jungling. This cost-efficient item has just enough strength to help you clear your jungle without spending more gold on jungle-specific items.
Spirit of the Spectral Wraith (New item!):
- +40 Ability Power
- +10 Mana Regen per 5 seconds
- +10% Cooldown Reduction
- Unique Passive: +20% Spell Vamp
- Unique Passive – Butcher: Damage dealt to monsters increased by 25%
- Unique Passive: Reduces the cooldown on Smite by 20%
This ability power focused item offers great stats that will continue to pay off even during the late-game phase. Spirit of the Spectral Wraith is a strong alternative item for spell vamp, as there are very few spell vamp items. The reduced cooldown on Smite was recently added to the item by Riot developers.
Spirit of the Ancient Golem (New item!):
- +500 Health
- +30 Armor
- +14 Health Regen per 5 seconds
- +7 Mana Regen per 5 seconds
- Unique Passive – Butcher: Damage dealt to monsters increased by 25%
- Unique Passive – Tenacity: The durations of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, blinds, and immobilizes are reduced by 35%.
Spirit of the Ancient Golem was made for tanky junglers. Not only is this a strong item in the jungle, but it also offers important stats to make you durable, as well as tenacity! This item allows the player more freedom with their build, because you won't have to rely on obtaining tenacity from your boots (Mercury's Treads).
Spirit of the Elder Lizard (New item!):
- +50 Attack Damage
- +14 Health Regen per 5 seconds
- +7 Mana Regen per 5 seconds
- Unique Passive – Butcher: Damage dealt to monsters increased by 25%
- Unique Passive – Incinerate: Basic attacks and non-periodic spell damage burn the target for 15-66 (based on level) true damage over 3 seconds.
If you're not looking for ability power, or durability, then this jungling item is for you. Although this item is probably the least seen jungling item, it does have a powerful niche. In the hands of a high attack-speed / auto-attack heavy champion, Spirit of the Elder Lizard will help you shred through your foes.
