League of Legends reveals CHEW (act fast!) (Photos)

Summoners of Fort Worth, Texas, rush on over to the League of Legends website to play CHEW, before it’s too late! Cho’Gath Eats the World (CHEW) is a browser-based Flash game based on the gameplay of the classic arcade game Rampage. As you might have guessed, CHEW stars the popular League of Legends champion Cho’Gath. While on the CHEW website you will notice a timer ticking down at the top of the screen. The majority of people believe that the timer at the top of the screen indicates how long the game will remain available until being taken down.

Cho’Gath Eats the World opens up with the option to select a skin for Cho’Gath, but the alternate skin is locked. Hovering over the locked skin displays a message that says "Beat the game to unlock this skin!” The game starts off with Gentleman Cho’Gath sitting in his chair, near his fireplace and pet Kog’Maw. Next to him lies a gift resting atop an end table. He asks if you can guess what the gift is, then says he has a story for you, about his time in a “dreadful land”.

After Gentleman Cho’Gath’s dialogue is complete, you take control of Cho’Gath in the city of Baltimore. Like the classic game Rampage, your objective is to wreak havoc on the city and destroy all buildings onscreen. Also similar to Rampage, you can devour people, find food, bonus items, as well as hazardous items. Destroying all of the buildings will advance you to the world map, where Cho’Gath will talk about his journey. , but keep your eyes peeled for Santa Monica, CA (Stage 4). Above the Riot Games building is a rainbow. When the rainbow is destroyed, Cho'Gath turns into Teemo and blasts off into space!

Astro Teemo is a game within the CHEW game! In Astro Teemo, you take control of Teemo and can hover to collect coins as well as avoid fire spots. This game tracks how much distance you travel and your coins carry over to your next game (after you die), so you can keep trying to out-do yourself. Coins can be used to buy items with a one-time use, or permanent upgrades (which you can choose to unequip). Astro Teemo also features “missions”, which are challenges which grant you bonus gold for completing. After you complete a mission it is replaced with a new one. Can you complete them all?

CHEW features some really awesome pixel-graphics, as well as really nostalgic retro music and some awesome modern music in Astro Teemo. Definitely go check out Cho'Gath Eats the World before Riot Games takes the game down!
