'League of Legends' bans two more pros for 'toxic' behavior

Riot Games continues to fight against the stereotype of "League of Legends" being home to overly aggressive and offensive players by banning two more pro players Sunday for "toxic behavior in-game." This follows the banning of IWillDominate, a pro-gamer signed to Team Dignitas, last December.

The "League of Legends" Tribunal voted to ban Mousesports’ enVision (Ilyas Hartsema) and Against All Authority’s Linak (Damien Lorthios). Both are now ineligible to compete in the LCS Season Three European Qualifier and compete in the LCS for one year.

enVision has a long history of reports against him across multiple accounts including 436 reports in only 135 games under his "JungleReject" account. Overall, he see a report rate that is 6x higher than the average EU player which probably made the Tribunal's job easy.

Meanwhile, the Tribunal noted that Linak's behavior had worsened over the past three months despite seven previous punishments and having another account permabanned.

Both players received the same analysis that they "consistently engaged in behavior which violates the letter and spirit of the Summoner's Code. His persistent tendency to engage in verbal abuse, insults and offensive behavior is unacceptable for any player, especially a high-profile eSports competitor who has a regular opportunity to lead the community by example."
