Leaf Magazine's spring issue

The free, online gardening magazine Leaf has put up their spring issue This quarter’s issue has articles on the tradition of the Easter tree, Amy Stewart’s new book ‘The Drunken Botanist’, uses for the various types of twine, new garden products and ideas, the amazing work of photographer Michel Tcherevkoff, who uses plant parts to create images of shoes & insects, geocaching, the best way to survive a trip to the garden center, botanist John Bartram, a profile of witch hazel, yellow in the garden, creating small gardens, Cougar Annie’s garden, yarn bombs, and outdoor sculpture. As usual, the photography is beautiful. I particularly enjoyed the Easter tree (I’ve seen them, and even made one once, but had no idea it was a widespread tradition) and the article on Cougar Annie and the Vancouver Island nursery that she carved out of wilderness.
