LEAD Center inaugural webinar January 30, 3:00 - 4:40 p.m. est

The National Center on Leadership for the Employment and Economic Advancement of People with Disabilities (LEAD) launches their inaugural webinar on January 30, 3:00 – 4:40 p.m. est. The webinar will include the goals and planned activities of this brand-new LEAD Center.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) and led by National Disability Institute, the LEAD Center is a collaborative of disability, workforce and economic empowerment organizations dedicated to a common goal — improving employment and economic advancement opportunities for people with disabilities and supporting their full inclusion in integrated community employment.

The Lead Center, with direct input from the disability community and other key stakeholders, will identify and share best practices and policy solutions designed to improve the lives and low work fore participation rates of individuals with disabilities.

Join Kathleen Martinez, Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Labor for Disability Employment Policy, Karen McCulloh, Lead Center Project Director, National Disability Institute, and other special guests to better understand the LEAD Center’s unique approach to:

  • disability leadership
  • planned innovations and demonstrations
  • pilots to bring to scale ODEP best practices
  • opportunities for you to join them in bring together disability policy and employment practices that will lead to full inclusion of individuals across the spectrum of disability in our nation’s labor force
