Lea Michele tattoos down to 13 (Photos)

When Glee star, Lea Michele, appeared on David Letterman last May he asked her how many tattoos she had. She readily admitted to 14, and said, "You can get very addicted to them," but this week she visited a Beverly Hills laser removal clinic and she is now down to 13. Which one did she have removed?

Lea Michele decided to have the small red heart tattoo on her left middle finger removed. In May, the popular brunette star confessed to David Letterman that getting tattooed was like a family activity. "It will be like Easter and we'll be talking, and we'll say, 'Let's get tattoos.' And then we get super sentimental, and the next day I wake up with like another butterfly on my foot." Letterman reacted to the fact that she had 14 tattoos, but she explained they are all little.

"I'm done, though," she said. "All my secret hidden spots are done…like my real estate is over."

It seems getting a tattoo removed is also a family affair, as Lea Michele brought her younger cousin along for moral support. When they arrived, she held on to her cousin's hand and appeared to be a little nervous going in. Her finger looked to be wrapped in some sort of dressing like perhaps she had already had some laser work done. It can take several treatments to remove a tattoo, and this one was red which can be a little more challenging to remove. Later she walked out with a white gauze bandage.

Lea Michele keeps her tattoos covered most of the time

Most people don't realize Lea Michele has so many tattoos. She admitted to Prestige magazine that she keeps them covered most of the time. Of the thirteen remaining tattoos, you can spot a gold star on her left wrist that represents her Glee character Rachel. On her right wrist she wears an "I believe" tattoo which was the feature song from the Spring Awakening musical. On her left foot she sports an 'imagine' tattoo that matches tattoos worn by Glee co-stars Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale. Keeping with the musical theme, she also wears two musical notes from Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody on her left shoulder.

Other tattoos include a butterfly on her right foot, and 'Our city, our love' on her right foot, and a bird on her hip.
