She rose to fame on Broadway, then charmed the nation on "Glee." Lea Michele also has managed to make time to become a style and fashion icon and carve out a unique singing voice. When it comes to staying slim, Lea varies between vegan and vegetarianism, she told Shape magazine in a recent interview.
I go back and forth between [being a vegan and not being a vegan]. I try lots of different things. I really feel that you need to kind of listen to your body and what your body is telling you to eat. So I was a vegan for about two years.
Summing up her whole foods, naturally healthy lifestyle, Lea notes: "I like to think of myself as more granola."
Lea keeps her focus for her future positive, noting that she's excited about her album, "Louder" (click for details).
I also feel an incredible, happy responsibility to keep the memory and light of [Cory, who] was the most amazing person. I’m so happy to make it my journey now to continue on and live my life as best as I can.

She recently suffered through a tragedy when her boyfriend Cory died. But now Lea credits him for her positive self-esteem and body image, telling Seventeen:
"I thank him for being the best boyfriend and making me feel so beautiful.”
Working out helps: Lea keeps it simple, she told Shape magazine.
"I love hiking, going to the gym, doing some simple stuff. I love being outdoors, I love bike riding."
Lea feels good about her body, and she told Seventeen magazine that her attitude comes from her time on Broadway.
"I come from Broadway – everybody’s naked on Broadway," Lea laughed.
