When it comes to her relationship with her “Glee” co-star Cory Monteith, Lea Michele has only one person to credit for moving the couple's romance from the small screen to real life, after her breakup with boyfriend Theo Stockman. E! News caught up with Michele and Monteith at the PaleyFest Icon Award presentation in Beverly Hills on Feb. 28, where the actress was nothing short of glowing in her Vivienne Tam dress.
So who gets the credit for bringing two beautiful people together? “Glee” mastermind Ryan Murphy, according to a Feb. 28 E! News report.
“Yes, I would definitely say he is my matchmaker for sure,” the Glee star said at the Murphy does take credit, but it appears that the pair would have fallen for each other offscreen anyway, if their chemistry had anything to do with it.
Ryan, who received the first PaleyFest Icon Award noted that he noticed the couple’s strong onscreen chemistry right away. “I directed them in their first scene together and they had that sort of chemistry that you can't fake, and I said, 'Uh-oh. So I did kind of know. I take credit.”
After the event, Michele tweeted, "Tweeting after the event, Lea said: 'A beautiful night honoring the amazing @MrRPMurphy:) So happy for him. What a joy to be in such an amazing room with such incredible people."
