Lea Michele is the latest celebrity hacking victim

While many of us were out celebrating our country's birth there was another type of firework going on over the microblogging site twitter. The site went off when fans of glee star Lea Michele were shocked when they read a tweet that came from her account announcing that the actress was pregnant. It turned out though that they weren't as shocked as the star herself when she found out that her account had been hacked and the preparatory had made this bogus announcement. She did show a good sense of humor about the incident when after she regained control of her account she sent out the following message to her fans.

"I was HACKED! Guess @chriscolfer and I should have known better then to make our passwords the names of our cats," she tweeted.

The person she is referring to is fellow Glee star Chris Colfer who had his twitter account hacked the previous day. On his account the preparatory had put out a phony message that he had been fired from Glee, that is in its final season.

Her role of Rachel Berry, in Glee, has earned the 28 year-old actress multiple nominations and award. Her accolades include 2 golden globe nominations in 2010 & 2011, an emmy nomination in 2010, a satellite award, a SAG(screen actors guild) and 3 people's choice awards. Before her role on the her role on the popular musicial T.V show, Ms. Michele played several roles on Broadway in such big named productions as Fiddler on the Roof, Les Miserable and Ragtime. She also won a grammy award as a featured artist on the sound track of Spring Awakening.
