Yesterday we learned that Glee star Cory Monteith “Finn Hudson” has voluntarily entered a treatment facility to overcome substance addiction. According to a People report dated Monday, April 1, his girlfriend and Glee co-star Lea Michele is supporting him, and proud of his decision.
“I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this,” Michele tells People. “I am grateful and proud he made this decision,” she continued.
Michele and Monteith appear to be a happy couple, and this isn’t the first time she has opened up her heart about Cory in a statement.
In 2012, she told People, “He really, really inspires me, and he motivates me and I think he’s just so talented.”
It is certain that Monteith has a strong support system as 20th Century Fox TV which produces Glee released a statement to the Hollywood Reporter that said, “Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return.”
Michele and Monteith shared their relationship with the public last April. On March 23, just a week ago, the couple was spotted at a Los Angeles Kings game.
The award winning actress who stars as Rachel Berry on Glee, is also a spokesperson, and has experience in Broadway.
