The 100th episode of “glee” is a big deal and the plot and songs selected for it are being as well guarded as the winners of the Oscars. However, a Jan. 7 report on Wetpaint revealed Lea Michele who plays Rachel is hard at work in the studio recording those songs. These will songs done at some point earlier in the series and voted on by fans.

Apparently Lea is back from her New Year’s vacation in Mexico where she hung out with pal Jonathon Groff (Jesse). Michele took a hike on Monday, Jan. 6 and tweeted to fans, “Starting the year off right! #hike #takethatmonday”

Sometime later on Monday, Lea joined the Twitter-verse once again to say that she was hard at work on the 100th episode with this tweet:

“Back in the studio with @alxanders for #glee100thepisode today! Feels good to be back:) 🎶”

Also back in the studio is “Glee” star Mark Salling (Puck). A tweet from the studio confirms it. “Here's @MarkSalling of @GLEEonFOX tracking #vocals #inthestudio w/ #vox guru @loudmouthmuch. #puck #glee #music.”

The choice of songs has everybody antsy. Rumors have been rampant but all we know for sure is that the ten songs that got the most votes that were previously done on the show will be featured. Some think Lea will be reprising her “Defying Gravity” but Chris Colfer (Kurt) has made no bones about wanting a chance to do that number.

Stay tuned. We’ll share more news and insider info on “Glee” as we get it.
