Le Salon de Musiques, an intimate and highly acclaimed chamber music series at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles, has announced its upcoming season which promises to be something extra special. For the 2014-2015 season, Artistic Director and internationally acclaimed pianist, Francois Chouchan has scheduled eight Premiers of rarely heard or forgotten masterworks in the romantic style from the 19th and 20th century composers.

The lovely ballroom on the 5th floor of the Dorothy Chandler allows the music to be experienced up close and personal. The music is followed by question and answer session with the artists while being served French Champagne and a gourmet buffet catered by Patina. Tickets can be purchased per concert or by subscription, and parking downtown is easy to find on Sunday afternoons.Seating is limited and events frequently sell out.

Francois Chouchan shares that “this Fifth Season will be definitely “magical” between the exceptional diversity and quality of the pieces performed, (almost unknown or forgotten) and the highest level of our artists invited to perform this Season. I am thrilled to share these new, exquisite moments again with our beautiful audience!"

The opening concert will take place on October 12, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the 5th floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The program will feature the Los Angeles premiere of Concerto “Da Camera” in C minor Op, by the American composer, Howard Hanson. Also on the program will be Frank Bridge’s Piano Quintet H.49 in D minor, and John Ireland’s Phantasie in A minor for Piano Trio.

The acclaimed international pianist, Adam Neiman will be joined by the talented violinists Jessica Guideri and Serena McKinney, along with the exciting new Principal Violist of the LA Opera, Yi Zhou and Principal Cellist of the LA Opera, John Walz, for this performance.
