Le Jardin and Peace Tree Brewery team up for Fat Tuesday Beer Dinner

Des Moines French restaurant Le Jardin and Peace Tree Brewing Company are teaming up on yet another beer dinner, just in time for Mardi Gras. The Fat Tuesday Beer Dinner will take place at the Peace Tree Brewery (107 W. Main Street) in Knoxville on (Fat) Tuesday, March 4 at 5:30 p.m. Chef Tag Grandgeorge's four-course dinner with drink pairings will cost $55 (including tax and gratuity). Reservations are required, and a credit card number will be taken to confirm your reservation. Reservations can be made online through the Peace Tree website or by calling (641) 842-2739.

Here is a look at the menu Le Jardin's Chef Grandgeorge has planned for the Fat Tuesday event:

Sidekick Kolsch boiled shrimp, avocado mousse, and muffuletta toast with smoked pork belly
Beer Pairing—No Coast IPA

First Course
Moque choux griddle cake, mixed greens, smoked pork shoulder, bayou pepper vinaigrette.
Beer Pairing—Hop Wrangler

Second Course
Chicken & Andouille sausage gumbo, Black River Gumbo Stout cornbread
Beer Pairing—Red Rambler

Cream cheese king cake, homemade cinnamon ice cream, warm Templeton Rye praline sauce
Beer Pairing—Imperial Stout

The evening with start with a welcome beer and passed appetizers at 5:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The Peace Tree staff will offer tours of the brewery and answer questions about the beers.
