Located in Dr. Phillips, there is a little restaurant and café called Le Café de Paris. It is squeezed between a sushi bar and an empty lot, which the owners will soon be expanding into, making this little café into something much larger.
The owners, Claude and Chantal, have been in the coffee business since 1990 and, after opening several cafes in France, decided to bring their talent to Orlando, Florida in 2007. They offer a full coffee menu, not including a mocha (unless you want it iced), and sticking true to French coffee they offer only vanilla and caramel flavoring for your coffee (and milk and sugar of course). Despite their lack of syrup flavors, the coffee is so delicious that you won’t find yourself missing out. Though there is no free Wi-Fi (sorry to those that like to drink their coffee and surf the internet), the café is set up perfectly for a quiet and comfortable coffee date with your friends and loved ones.
Besides coffee, their menu includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. All the menu items are French, from their omelets to their Panini’s to their salads. They even have a couple of menu items named after the owners themselves, such as Chantal’s salad du jour (made with their homemade vinaigrette dressing). The menu items are fairly priced, though if you’re looking for something for only a couple of bucks, you should probably stick to their pastry menu.
Their pastry menu consists of traditional French pastries such as croissants, tarts, and quiches that all come in a variety of flavors. The prices range anywhere from 1.70 to 5.80, so you can easily find that cheap treat you were looking for. Along with the classic French pastries, they offer freshly made French bread. Yes, this includes the traditional baguette (one of the few places around Orlando that sells it freshly made every day).
Everything on their menu is made from scratch by the owners, if you don’t believe this Examiner.com writer, you can ask them yourself. The owners are very friendly and willing to answer any questions directed their way. They also truly value their customers and will always make sure that you’re enjoying whatever it is that you ordered.
Le Café de Paris is located at 5170 Dr. Phillips Blvd, Orlando, FL 32819. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM, Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM and closed on Sundays.
