Lazaro Arbos speech impediment doesn't stop him from American Idol success (Video)

American Idol's 12th season has returned to Fox with three new judges Keith Urban, the dueling divas Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, who joined the return of Randy Jackson. Many contestants auditioned that left you wondering why they even bothered auditioning or simply amazed you.

But one contestant that might not be easily forgotten not even by the judges is Lazaro Arbos, the last contestant to audition in Chicago at last nights televised episode. Lazaro Arbos, a 21 year old Cuban born living in Naples, Fla., has a speech impediment since the age of 6 but that didn't stop him from auditioning. His mother stated she had to speak for him always and would tell him to sing instead because he wouldn't stutter.

He doesn't have many friends because of his stuttering that has worsened after he moved to the United States at the age of 10. “Since he is always alone and has few friends, music is his life” commented his father.

It was a long day for the judges who looked somewhat confused when they interviewed Lazaro but once he opened his mouth to beautifully sing “Bridge Over Troubled Water” it was a whole new ballgame. Lazaro was amazingly singing without any difficulty as if he was destined to be a singer. Wait, that is his destiny - an inspirational singer. And of course he is on his way to Hollywood. “You should sing all the time,” suggested Randy and Keith.
