Lazaro Arbos inspires bullied students on American Idol

Last week on American Idol, Lazaro Arbos shared how amazing it is for him to be a part of Idol. Not only are his dreams coming true, but he is making a difference in lives of young people across the United States. Being born in another country and moving to Florida would be difficult for any child, but for Lazaro it was even harder due to his broken speech. After moving to Florida Lazaro's stutter became even more severe, to the point that he could not talk at all. His mother found that when singing, the stutter did not interfere with what Lazaro wanted to say. Soon she had him sing to her all the time so they could communicate.

As you can imagine having a severe stutter, that only goes away when singing, did not make him very popular. For a young man who spent most of his free time as a teenager alone in his bedroom, the cheers of the crowd when he enters the stage is nearly overwhelming. Something else that makes Lazaro special is his song choices. Lazaro always makes it a point to choose songs that mean something to him personally. His story, his voice, and his humility have made him a fan favorite. Even receiving fan mail telling him what an inspiration he is to students who are victims of bullying. They are thankful for the hope he gives them.

Lazaro has made it to the top ten and will be performing again tonight on Fox. Be sure to watch and learn more about him and what makes him so special to so many.
