If you are traveling to Los Angeles or connecting through Los Angeles, your flight will be delayed. There is a ground stop in effect for the airport. That means no flights are being allowed to take off from another airport if they are still heading to LAX. But some flights are still being allowed to land and takeoff from the airport.
What we know about the LAX Shooting
Local media is reporting that three people were shot near at the screening area for Virgin America airlines. That is terminal three. One of three people shot was a TSA agent.
The gunman used and AR-15 rifle. He was shot and wounded. His condition is not being released.
A witness told KABC that the gunman was a white male about 18-25 years old. The witness said the man was dressed in all black.
