LAX decides to drop free parking for electric cars (Video)

LAX has been offering free parking for electric cars. This is a great deal for people that fly a lot. On Jan. 5, The Verge announced that they are not going to be offering this anymore. Is this going to cost you a lot of money?

You could actually park your vehicle for free for up to 30 days in two different parking lots. They are going to take this away on March 1st. The bad thing about this is the cost will go back to $30/day. If you were to park your car for 30 days, this would be a $900 fee that you could end up having to pay.

They are going to be nice and still offer you a free port to charge your car, but it's really hard to consider it free when you are paying $30/day to park your electric car.

One electric car owner says this is part of the reason he bought the car in the first place. He leaves his car up to 10 times a month and this is going to cost him a lot.

What do you think of LAX charging for electric cars to be parked? Sound off in the comments.
