Lawyer for anti-gay Christian group convicted on child porn charges

A lawyer for an anti-gay Christian group has been found guilty of exploiting her 14-year-old daughter to produce child pornography.

Lisa Biron, 43, was convicted on charges of child sexual exploitation, transporting a child across state lines to produce child pornography, and possession of child pornography. On Jan. 10., in the face of overwhelming video evidence, a jury deliberated for less than an hour in a New Hampshire courtroom before returning a guilty verdict on all charges.

Biron, an associate with a national coalition of anti-gay Christian lawyers, took her daughter to Canada to make the pornographic film. There Biron encouraged her minor child to drink alcohol, smoke marijuana, and have sex on camera. Videos shown during Biron’s trial showed the girl losing her virginity, having intercourse with two different men, and engaging in oral sex with Biron, her mother.

Biron is due to be sentenced in April. According to reports, the minimum sentence Biron will receive will be 25 years. The transportation charge carries a minimum sentence of 10 years and each exploitation charge carries at least 15 years.

On her Facebook page, Biron listed the Bible as her favorite book. As a lawyer, Biron was a member of, and had advocated for, the Alliance Defending Freedom — an anti-gay Christian group.
