Lawrence, Edward Little, Lewiston and Hampden advance in class A boys tourney

Augusta, ME-- Spencer Carey scored 15 points and shot 10-11 from the free throw line to lead the Lawrence Bulldogs boys basketball team to a 52-41 class A quarterfinal victory over Brunswick at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday afternoon.

Xavier Lewis scored 13 points and shot 6-6 from the free throw line for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will face Edward Little in a semifinal game on Wednesday, February 20th.

The Red Eddies defeated Messalonskee 67-51 on Saturday afternoon.

Lew Jenson nailed 6 three-pointers and scored 20 points to lead the Red Eddies.

Josh Thomas scored 10 of his 17 points in the first quarter to lead Lewiston to a 69-59 victory over Bangor on Saturday evening.

The Blue Devils will take on undefeated Hampden in the semifinals.

Matt Palmer scored 16 points to lead the Hampden Broncos to a 78-35 victory over Mt. Ararat. Twelve different players scored for the Broncos.
