'Law & Order,' 'Heroes' may have movie finales

As it turns out, "Law & Order" and "Heroes" may not officially be done, after all. According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, NBC will talk to the creators of both shows about staging a potential two-hour movie to give their products some final closure.

Will this work out? Not necessarily, since there would be a number of issues (such as casting and finances) to hammer out. However, this move would enable both the shows to have proper closure -- which could come as some solace to fans upset with the cancellations.

The network would also have to find some time in their new schedules for the movies, but considering that shows rarely get more than a 22-episode order, they will certainly have plenty of time in there to hammer out some of the details.

yes, they both need movies...not law & order so much as heroes. I'm probably in the minority on this, but it seems like serialized shows that end with dangling threads would hurt dvd sales and future syndication deals (think veronica mars or deadwood); even one-season shows like defying gravity could benefit from a little closure

I really hope that they make a Heroes movie. I've been a fan since the beginning, and though Season 2 suffered with the writer's strike, the storylines have been nothing but powerful and exciting. This show doesn't deserve to be cancelled! :(

Why cancel Heroes? Why not send it to the NBC-owned SYFY Channel? I'm sure the fans would find it with no problem!

I hope that this show is not over. This show is one of the best on tv.There is so much crap on tv that it would be a shame if this series ends.

Heroes needs to come back just so Sylar can be redeemed! He hasn't done the last thing he needs to do on his journey to salvation and that's saving his one true love Elle! He needs to get Hiro to take him back to the beach and stop himself from killing Elle! THIS WOULD SATISFY US SHIPPERS AND END HIS REDEMPTION STORYLINE! I think then even Hiro would smile and be happy to be wrong about Sylar ending up alone and sad! Then they all go back to the present. Happy ending!
