Wednesday night viewers watched a monumental episode of “Law & Order: SVU.” There was a big death and a bit of a shocking return of one character. These developments leave fans anxious for spoilers about what comes next. How long is Donal Logue back in the role of Declan? TVLine shared the scoop on April 9.

Donal's character will now take charge of the squad room and viewers will see him around for the rest of the season. It seems he will definitely shake things up, and it is certainly a tricky time to be in his position. The Hollywood Reporter notes that Logue is officially on recurring status for the rest of season 15.

“Law & Order: SVU” is actually on a short break, with the next new episode airing April 30. The next show is titled “Post-Mortem Blues,” and it is said to pick up just seconds after where Wednesday's shocking episode ended. Everyone on the team will be anxiously searching for Olivia, and it is said that viewers will see William Lewis' dead body in the morgue. There is no possibility of return for him this time around.

This episode will follow the aftermath of William Lewis' suicide and there will be an investigation into Olivia Benson's actions. Apparently, however, the IAB investigation will be inconclusive.The drama surrounding William Lewis won't be brushed under the rug, and the team will deal with the aftermath for some time to come it seems.

The reaction from fans to Wednesday's episode does seem to be mixed online, but most are curious to see where things go next. It sounds like the return of Donal Logue will mix things up a bit, and viewers will be curious to see just what else is ahead for season 15. “Law & Order: SVU” has yet to be renewed for season 16, but news should be coming on that front soon.
