A recap of last week’s show: http://www.examiner.com/article/law-and-order-svu-15x5-wonderland-story
Summary: Barba’s childhood pal is charged with attempted rape, ad the arrest taints a mayoral campaign.
Guest Starring: Annaleigh Ashford (TV’s ‘Masters of Sex’)
The show is obviously based on the Anthony Weiner scandal that took place in 2011. It is almost as similar as it could possibly be.
We do get to see more of Barba and get some information on his make up. This is good news us, the fact that we are learning a little bit about him means that he’s probably going to be on the show for a little while. As fans know, there’s been sort of a revolving door for the DA over the past few seasons. It will be nice to finally get the same DA from week to week.
This show was interesting, seeing how far people will go to cover up what they do. This man is no different. He used his power and his money to hush the women up that he was texting with and also didn’t feel bad about guilting his friends into doing what he wants.
Overall, the show was fairly interesting, something a little different, but not completely different. It’s a typical SVU episode but it was still a good typical SVU episode.
