A recap of last week’s show: http://www.examiner.com/article/law-and-order-svu-15x4-internal-affairs-...
Summary: A former rape victim believes she’s been assaulted again, so she contacts Benson.
Guest Starring: Sofia Vassilieva (My Sister’s Keeper), Amelia Rose Blair (True Blood)
It was a very sullen show as we say goodbye to the beloved Munch, played by Richard Belzer. Munch has meant so much to the squad, a kind of guiding light, that never was shy about saying what was on his mind. He was one of my favorite characters, especially when this show grew more and more popular (somewhere around season 8 and 9). I knew it would only be a matter of time before this would happen and I’m happy the show is giving him a proper good-bye and not just have him be gone like they did with Stabler (played by Christopher Meloni).
I like it when the show does something different, which is really hard to do after 14 years worth of shows. This is the first time that I’ve remembered when they did a story when a rape victim gets attacked by 2 different guys.
Here’s a recap of the show.
The squad is at a bar celebrating Munch’s retirement. Benson makes a speech. Kragan announces Munch is still helping the DA office. They gave him a plaque with his badges. Munch begins his speech when Benson gets a call. She tells Amaro it was a former victim they had.
Benson/Amaro meet with Sarah (Vassilieva). She says that she thinks she was raped. She was drugged and she can’t remember it. They think that she was drugged when she was out with her friends. She thinks it was Michael Wedmore (the same person who rapped her last time).
Finn/Rollins meet with Michael’s mother. She says he was working and is now with his fiancee at a retreat.
Benson/Amaro tell Kragan that she was attacked. Rollins gets a call that Sarah had GHB in her system. Kragan says he will have a cop watch her apartment.
Finn/Rollins meet with a friend of Sarah’s, named Nicole (Blair). She tells them about how they go to a party lead by a watch. Her fiancee, Matthew comes home and learns bout Sarah being rapped again.
Benson/Amaro see the apartment in shambles. They tell her that Michael is not the rapist. She gets upset that she was attacked by a different guy and she tells them to leave her alone.
Squad regroups with Kragen. Rollins/Finn offer to try and find who went to the party. They use the watch to do so.
Finn/Rollins follow the party people (which is a Alice in Wonderland theme). They arrive and call it in. They start asking the people about the last party.
Amaro/Benson talk with the party thrower, Andre. He says that he told Sarah to leave but doesn’t know who she was with. Amaro/Benson talk with Kragen and know he was covering for someone.
Rollins/Finn show video feed from the last party. Finn sees Cameron Tyler carrying Sarah out of the party.
Benson/Amaro go to ask Sarah for help. They see that Cameron is there with her. He says he was there to comfort her. Amaro asks to speak to Cameron alone while Benson talks with Sarah. Cameron tells Amaro that he didn’t tell Finn about meeting with Sarah because of his girlfriend. Benson asks about Sarah’s and Cameron’s relationship. Cameron said he brought her home, but she walked up to her apartment alone.
Benson/Amaro talk about the conversations. Rollins tells them about a woman recanting an assault against Cameron.
Rollins/Finn talk with the woman. She refuses to talk about it and shoos them out.
Rollins/Finn meet with Nicole about the watch. She tells them that Matthew and Cameron are best friends and she just started working with Cameron that summer. She tells them about how she got drunk one night and Cameron took care of her. She had the same injuries as Sarah did.
The squad talk about whether or not to tell Nicole. They finally agree to tell her.
Rollins/Benson go to talk to her. They ask more questions about the night she got drunk. They tell her that they think that Cameron attacked her and Sarah. They ask her for her help.
Cameron arrives at the apartment where Nicole is waiting for him. She tells him that she’s pregnant. She tells him that it’s not Matthews and that they weren’t gonna have sex until after they got married. She asks for a list so she can do a DNA test. He admits that they had sex. He says he will take care of everything. She starts getting mad at him for what he did but the police barge in and arrest him.
Finn/Amaro question Cameron. Amaro brings up the video. He also brings up the trophies he kept of the victims.
Benson says sorry for not wanting to tell Nicole about the rape. Before leaving, Kragen gives Benson a Sergeant’s exam and suggests she take it.
Benson tells Sarah they got a plea out of Cameron. She says she still scared it will happen again. Benson tells Sarah about her two assaults and what she does to cope.
As Kragen goes to leave, Munch is packing up his desk. He remembers being on Homicide (and we see a flash of him during his time on Law and Order)
