Summary: An up-and-coming singer is beaten by her famous boyfriend, but she won’t assist the prosecution. Before long, a media frenzy surrounds the case, and the defendant and his relentless lawyer add fuel to the fire.
The show opens with a young girl named Mischa singing. Present day, Mischa as an adult singing in a music studio with a guy and two backup singers. After the take, the guy and Mischa are kissing. Next scene, she comes in to Caleb (the guy) flirting with another girl. He throws her on the ground. She stands up and hits his face and he goes to punch her.
Benson/Amaro are with Mischa at hospital. She tells them that Caleb did it.
Amaro talks to her manager and he says that their relationship is different. Benson talks with Mischa and she tells her what happened. Amaro/Finn arrest Caleb.
Caleb’s lawyer, Cann (Tambor) comes to the station. Amaro is taking pictures of Caleb’s body. The lawyer talks with Munch.
Rollins show the squad a video on Perezhilton.com of Caleb getting arrested.
Finn meets with Caleb’s secretary and she says she won’t testify. Amaro questions the dancers. Rollins talks with the producer, Ferarri (Navarro). He admits that he saw her get beat.
Benson/Barba meet with Mischa. She says she’s angry that they arrested Caleb. She’s not sure she can testify. Benson tries to encourage her to. She says that he won’t get away with it.
Arraignment. He pleads not guilty. He gets bailed $500,000 and to stay 1000 yards way from Mischa. He tells the press that he loves her and that she won’t let them send him to jail.
Barba/Benson/Amaro talk as Bryce, her agent, comes in and shows them a video from of her picture from the hospital that went viral. He says that her advertisers are going to pull out. Benson says that she has to be a role model. Benson says that Caleb won’t stop. She says she’s not going to court.
Benson/Amaro/Barba are eating dinner. Benson suggests making a deal before they find out she’s going to withdraw.
Barba offers Caleb and his lawyer a deal. He gets 5-years of community service in the deal.
Barba talks to the squad. Rollins gets a text to turn on ‘The Whitney Show’. Caleb apologizes to Mischa. He offers a friendship ring. Benson sees a photo of Mischa’s hotel room on Caleb’s Twitter account. Amaro/Benson go there. Amaro takes Caleb out and Mischa tells them that she invited Caleb.
Caleb is in court for violating his restraining order. Cann apologizes that he didn’t explain the restraining order to Caleb. She believes that he didn’t understand it.
Barba/Amaro/Benson talk abut he got off. Barba leaves them as Caleb approaches them. He shows them a tattoo he got of Mischa after he beat her. Amaro finds pot on him and he arrests him.
Amaro talks to Caleb in the jail. He says he just says whatever he needs to.
Munch says that Amaro is getting in trouble for harassing Caleb. They try to figure out someone that she listens to so to stay away from Caleb.
Finn meets with her mentor, he says that there is nothing that he can do but he will tell Finn if something happens.
Squad watches her single release party. They see her wearing Caleb’s friendship ring.
Caleb shows up at the party. Mentor calls Finn. Caleb catches him talking to Finn. The police go to the party. When they get there, Mentor is found shot dead.
Squad looks over the crime scene. Finn says he heard Caleb threatening Mentor.
At Mischa’s hotel room. Mischa says that it’s the police’s fault for Mentor’s death. She says she didn’t see anything. They know that she’s coverign for Caleb.
Rollins/Finn meet with Cann and Caleb. He says he wasn’t there. Finn says he heard him on the phone. Cann and Caleb leave.
Squad talks it over. They don’t have any witnesses and the gun is unregistered and has no prints. Benson knows that Mischa knows something.
Barba brings Mentor’s wife and son to talk to Mischa. The wife asks her what happened. Mischa goes to talk to Barba/Benson in his office. Benson tells Mischa that Mentor was looking out for her. She shows Mischa the video from the beginning of the show that Mentor saw when he recruited her. She starts talking about her relationship with Caleb. She tells them how he broke two of her ribs. She tells them about the shooting. She says he got angry when she told him to leave. She says Caleb got mad because Mentor told him to stay away. She says she saw Caleb shoot Mentor. She says she will testify.
Barba/Benson walk to the court. Barba tells Benson about a girl that he loved when he was in high school and how he would have done anything for her.
Grand Jury. Mischa is on the stand. Barba asks her about the night. She says that he wasn’t at the bar. She says that she felt pressure to talk about the shooting. She says she didn’t see anything. He threatens her of perjury.
Amaro asks if he contacted her. They found out that he called her. Rollins sees a picture of Mischa and Caleb in the Bermuda. They say they have nothing to do but to wait for the inevitable.
Caleb and Mischa are on a boat. They start kissing. He gets a text. She asks who it is. He gets mad.
There is a memorial for Mischa. Her body was found in the water in Bermuda. They show the video from the beginning when she was singing as a child.
