It’s a Christmas part. Rollins is being hid on by a guy and leaves him and follows Finn. Benson tells Melinda she is going to Bahamas for New Years with a ‘friend’. A little girl runs to give a card to a priest (O‘Hare). Amaro is with his daughter and she gives him a card wishing him and wife to get back together. The little girl, Sophia, reads the card, then suddenly someone smashes in car window and starts beating up the priest. Amaro is talking with his wife. A man (Harvey) starts to tell the story, but a standby says he robbed the priest and he gets arrested. Finn’s ex-wife comes looking for Finn but he doesn’t want to help because her brother (who was the man) because of his history
Finn tells Rollins that his brother in law, Sam, has been in and out of jail. They meet with him. He says that he was defending the priest and that they were calling him a pedophile. He said it was a woman assaulting him. Rollins meets with the officer on the scene, says they all said that the man was trying to steal the car. She asks about the girl and he sys he doesn’t know about the girl.
Benson and Amaro say they can identify Sam but not the people who assaulted the priest. Amaro finds the Christmas card that the little gave him.
They are watching the video. They have two males in hoodies to attack the priest and then Sam running after them. The priest had been transferred a lot, which is a red flag. Finn gets a call saying priest is awake. Amaro suggests Rollins/Benson talk to ADA and Finn/Amaro talk to priest.
The DA (Graham) doesn’t want to pursue it but learns that suspect is family and doesn’t want to do the case.
Amaro/Finn talk to the priest, Fr. Shea. He says he won’t press charges. He recognizes Sam’s picture and says that Sam saved him. He says that there was 2 attackers but can’t remember anything about them. Says he doesn’t remember if they said anything. Amaro asks about why he was alone with her. He says she came to give him a card. He doesn’t want to involve her. He says he’s still involved with old parish because his sister lives in the area.
Sam is being arraigned when Finn/Amaro come in with a statement from the priest saying Sam saved him. The DA doesn’t want to use it because it could have been forced. He says he wants to speak with the arresting officer before letting him go.
Amaro/Benson go to talk to the secretary of the parish. The priest showing them around says that he left because he felt he should help elsewhere. They speak with Sophia’s mother. Mrs. Santiago says that he wouldn’t hurt her daughter. Benson says that the mother might be denying it because she doesn’t want to admit it.
Amaro/Benson talk with Sophia. She tells them that she was giving him a card she made for him. She tells them that Fr. Shea liked the card and gave her a hug. She says that’s when the men broke the window and Fr. Shea told her to run. She says they spoke Spanish and wore hoodies. She says that a black man tried to save Fr. Shea.
Finn/Rollins meet with Melinda. She says 3 different males of blood samples. Says she got prints for an Adam Benetez.
Rollins/Amaro find Adam who is collecting money for Christmas and they bring him in.
Adam says he doesn’t feel bad about beating on pedophiles. Says it was his friend’s idea to attack Fr. Shea because Fr. Shea had raped his sister. They make a deal to get his friend’s name (Enrique Rodriguez).
They go and arrest him. Finn says he wants to get the ID before working to get Sam out.
Monsignor gives Fr. Shea a ticket to Guatemala.
Amaro says that the arch diocese paid for the ticket.
Amaro/Benson meet with Enrique. He says his sister, Angelica, was 12 when it started. He says that she started acting out. He says he didn’t find out until the past Thanksgiving. She says she was pregnant at 13 and the he made her have an abortion. He felt guilt because he never knew. He says that Fr. Shea said that Angelica seduced him. It was his way of excising the demon of sex of her. He says that’s why he attacked him when he was hugging Sophia. Benson mentions bringing in the sister. He says he can’t do that because she’s trying to recover.
Rollins/Finn meet with DA. He says he can’t because he assault Ricky and Adam. He says he can let him go after Fr. Shea does the line-up.
Amaro says that he has to identify the attacker so that Sam can leave. He identify Enrique. Benson calls him out on his relationship with Angelica.
They go and show Fr. Shea the video of Enrique talking about the attack. Benson/Amaro start trying to break him, threatening him with Sophia and he begs them not to get her involved. He starts asking for forgiveness from God.
Finn/Rollins meets with Angelica and she says that she regretted telling him. He says that she can help him if she ID’s Fr. Shea as her abuser.
There is a line-up with Angelica. She identifies Fr. Shea but says he didn’t abuse her.
Amaro meets with Fr. Shea he says that he can’t say who did because she had confessed it to her. He says he transferred because he sinned and broke his vows.
Angelica is talking with Rollins/Benson. She talks about her abortion. She says Fr. Shea tried to help her. She says that she was bleeding after the abortion. She says she confessed what happened to him and that’s why Fr. Shea was sent away.
Fr. Shea says he would never hurt anyone, but can’t tell Amaro because it was Angelica’s confession. He says that he made sure she was protected. He said that the person who did it promised he wouldn’t. That’s when Amaro figures out who it was.
Amaro/Benson meet with Mrs. Santiago. Amaro talks about his daughter and how he sees his wife in her and also himself. Benson follows up with the question ‘Does Sophia know who her father is?’
Amaro/Benson get Fr. Shea to admit that he is the father to Sophia. He admits that he loved Mrs. Santiago. He admits that Monsignor confessed to him and he took him at his word. He says he comes back every year to take his confession to make sure he’s not hurting anyone else. Amaro says Fr. Shea is guilt as much as Monsignor is. Amaro suggests that Fr. Shea tell Sophia the truth before court.
Angelica/Rollins meet with Enrique and she says that Fr. Shea wasn’t the one.
Finn goes to the Judge’s house. He wants him to sign a conditional relief so that he can go home and see his son. He says that Finn is responsible for him.
Benson says she won’t leave on her vacation until she gets the warrant. Amaro makes her leave.
Finn/Rollins brings home Sam. Theresa invites Rollins to their Christmas Eve dinner.
Angelica goes to church. Fr. Shea walking with Mrs. Santiago and Sophia. Amaro meets with the Judge to get warrant. Benson learns about the warrant.
Amaro is waiting for the priest when there is gun shots. The father had been shot and Angelica is the one who shot him. She says that he was too late.

An special victim is accused of murder but she says she didn’t do it. It looks like the murder is a part of a large conspiracy that looks to be involving the DA’s office.
